Unsurprisingly, because the insoluble belongs to it, the cultural syncretism of ancient myths about beginnings and ends leaves unresolved the fate of the human body on the day when infinity is revealed. As for the perverted, who do not even reach limbo, it must be said that they are rotten, drowned, burned, devoured, in hellish circles ordered according to the crime committed. As for the virtuous, they will shine in the cosmos, already spirits, freed from their accursed corporeality, or they will remain on earth, still matter, feeding on original monsters. Although following different paths, both traditions—Gnostic and Messianic—aim at the reconciliation of human beings with what is inherent and original to them. The day of the end is prophesied as the day when, allegorically, the human body will even regain its animal appearance.

Division and reunion belong to the eschatological question. History is nothing more than the obstinate teleology of doing and knowing that denies, through which the human being is what he is. Once all predation and voracity, all ferocity and ruin, all corruption and supremacy, all oblivion and sophistication have been consummated, the end of days heralds the closing of the cycle and the confirmation of apostasy, in which the celestial bodies regain their natural position in the heavens and the primordial state among all things and all beings in the world is restored. In some post-historical eternity, the historical being is canceled and resumes spirituality and bestiality. Magda Delgado shares her impressions of what underlies O brotar de viventes daninhos e outras pragas sagradas: “an ode to life, with death always behind the curtain, emerging.”

It is astonishing to examine how just the path of the just is. The problem that captivates us is the inescapability of the irresolvable aporia.... We hesitate between misanthropy and anthropophilia. And, faced with the impossibility of both, what remains is despair for the suns that do not shine in their orbit, while those who kill live? The split occurs only and is unique to human beings in their historical being, in which they are what they are; and the reunion, in which they wander without time and space, detached from spirit and body, in which nothing remains and they are not what they are, is not even natural to them. That is, in The sprouting of harmful living beings and other sacred pests, it is more important to understand the problem of history than to seek the answer in eternity, for human beings are, inexorably, a place of tension with the world and, above all, with themselves, in which the separation between human and animal, after all, tends to be nullified as much as it continues.
